Safe and Responsible Animal Treatments
Overview
This module is part of the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) learning module and focuses on safe and responsible practices for administering animal treatments.
You’ll explore what good treatment practices look like, why clear records matter, and how to follow label instructions to protect both animals and the supply chain. You’ll also learn how to manage Withholding Periods (WHPs), Export Slaughter Intervals (ESIs), and record any use of Hormonal Growth Promotants (HGPs) to meet your LPA requirements and maintain market access.
