Setting a breeding objective is an important step that helps you to define what it is you’re trying to achieve in your herd. This module outlines the key considerations when defining a breeding objective for your enterprise.

  • Be able to set your breeding objectives.
  • Understand your operating environment.
  • Understand your target market.
  • Understand the current performance of your herd.
  • Understand how your profit drivers will help you develop your breeding objectives, including cost(s) of production.
