Livestock Agent Module

Overview

This short module provides livestock agents with a high-level overview of the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) and National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) requirements.

It focuses on the type of support agents can provide to producers, where producer responsibility sits, and where to direct clients for more detailed guidance.

recognise that producers retain responsibility for meeting LPA and NLIS requirements and completing declarations.
explain how livestock agents can support producers without replacing producer decision-making or responsibility.
recognise where common misunderstandings about agent responsibility can arise.
provide consistent, high-level guidance to producers about LPA and NLIS requirements.
refer producers to Integrity Systems, the correct systems, documents or eLearning when more detailed information is required.
