To move HRGs device-free, you’ll need to meet key conditions that support traceability and market access.
Get accredited
Apply for HRG accreditation via your LPA Account. Once approved this will show your PIC as HRG accredited in the NLIS Database and provide access to create a HRG eNVD or buy a HRG NVD book.
Know your responsibilities
Only goats that meet the definition of a HRG can move device-free with a HRG NVD from a HRG accredited property.
Goats that do not meet the definition of a HRG must be identified with an NLIS eID and moved using a Goat NVD.
Meet the standards
HRGs can only move device-free directly to a processor for slaughter or via one registered depot. All HRGs must be moved with a HRG NVD. You’ll need to undergo an LPA audit every two years to verify HRG requirements.
