Rank animals using the chosen selection index
Meat & Livestock Australia April 8, 2024
Once you have decided which selection index is of most relevance to your own production system, animals being considered for selection should be ranked on the chosen selection index. This sorts animals based on their progeny’s expected profitability for the targeted production system.
Animals can be easily ranked via their Selection Index values online. This was demonstrated in Topic 4 of this module.
